Lab: Chris Theis and Jordan Lamothe

What is an interesting fact about yourself? People don’t know this, but I love singing Bollywood (it’s like Hollywood but in India) songs in the rain

What is your favorite part of VBI so far? I adore Chris Tice - at first he was super scary but he takes me to Westwood for ice cream and Build-a-Bear, is hilarious and always fun to work with, and reminds me of my mom.

Favorite Omegathon event: Pub quiz!!1!2 I find taking time to prepare pub quiz strategy to be a useful and fun break from the intense drilling we do in lab every single day.

What is your favorite movie or TV show? I’m tied between Magic Mike and Mean Girls.

What is the hardest part of camp? I’ve been trying to comb my hair every day, but it literally has a mind of its own (it’s a long story) so it’s somewhat difficult.

Theme song to your life: “What Dreams Are Made Of” by Hilary Duff

Spirit animal: Lyndon B. Johnson

How is the lab dynamic? I see our lab as 1 big group of friends, like the animals in Winnie the Pooh. I see myself as Tigger because I jump A LOT, and Chris Theis would totally be Pooh because I’ve seen him eat a whole barrel of honey once. Melanie would be Eeyore and Jared is Rabbit. Jordan is of course Piglet.

What has been the best part of camp so far? The oranges are AMAZING. I’ve never eaten oranges as good as UCLA’s - I try to eat 5 or 6 oranges a day for extra vitamin C. I especially love swallowing oranges whole - it’s very nutritious!

Why did you come to VBI? When I was in 8th grade I saw VBI’s campers of the day, and ever since, I’ve longed to be the Camper of the Day with every fiber of my being. I learned juggling, sword swallowing, and upside-down jump roping to make myself an interesting person just so I could be the Camper of the Day. As I’m writing this I’m fulfilling one of my life’s greatest goals <3

Who is the scariest lab leader? Daniel Tartarsauceky - he looks like a huge squirrel, and squirrels terrify me, especially when they’re human sized.
