"The Director of Forensics position is a full-time position beginning August 1, 2016 at Trinity Preparatory School. Our program is well funded and supported by the school’s administration. Trinity Preparatory School’s forensics students travel extensively on the national forensics circuit and compete in all events except policy debate.
Responsibilities: The Director of Forensics is responsible for
- Planning and arranging all travel trips
- Organization and direction of all coaching efforts (administration of adjunct coaching)
- Overseeing and organizing parent support and judging at tournaments
- Organizing and directing student development and coaching, both directly and through adjunct and assistant coaches
- Monitoring parent involvement and team communication
- Attending the tournaments on the national circuit and sharing local competitions with assistant coaches
- Overseeing all financial requirements of the team; coordination with business manager and comptroller
Qualifications: The Director of Forensics must be
- Experienced in coaching and traveling on the national circuit (NSDA and NCFL leagues)
- Computer literate and capable of managing multiple changing entries using Speechwire, Joy of Tournaments, Tabroom.com, and similar tournament management sites
- Able to travel widely on the national circuit
- Able to direct all aspects and events the team participates in
- Able to direct and supervise adjunct and assistant coaches
- Willing to work collaboratively with assistant coaches to determine team management strategies and monitor student involvement
- Experienced in working with school administrators
